It's a popular fact that while the music industry is rapidly growing, the record industry is clamoring for more money anywhere they can find it.

At the center of it all, musicians are often the one to get the short end of the stick. Signed to 360 degree deals, the label they sign with is no longer a vehicle to fame and fortune.. instead they find it more of a ball and chain.

So the record industry is screwed. How do musicians move past the old model and focus on making income outside traditional boundaries?
